This Earth Day, we’ve got a special offer for you on all Nixplay Seed frames: 15% of every Seed you buy. But there’s more to it than just a special offer. The unforgettable moments that you share in our frames are worth more than you think.

For each Seed you buy, Nixplay donates the cost of a tree seedling to be planted in Sub-Saharan Africa, through our partnership with Maryland-based non-profit organization, ‘Trees for the Future’. A literal Seed for a Seed.

Through our partnership, the first 10,000 trees have already been planted; and we’re just getting started.

Planting trees provides families with more than just food. It provides income, empowerment, unity, leadership, education and even saves lives.

Trees for the Future currently works with over 3,000 farming families across five countries in Sub-Saharan Africa. Their focus is on the implementation of Forest Garden Programs in Cameroon, Kenya, Senegal, Uganda and Tanzania.

Since it started 1989, Trees for the Future has planted over 115 million trees in dozens of countries and revitalized hundreds of thousands of acres of soil while changing people’s lives forever.

Why trees? From Trees.org:

Ending hunger: Our latest data indicates that the Forest Garden Approach ends hunger for most families after the first year. Only 13% of our project participants were food secure when they joined the program, and after just 12 months of planting Forest Gardens, 86% of our farmers are food secure. LEARN MORE

Ending poverty: Through the Forest Garden Approach, we are impacting the lives of their farmers and children, resulting in positive impacts for over 26,000 people so far. A total of 82% of our farmers have seen significant income increases and more than 92% now feeling capable to brace for any unforeseen circumstances the future may bring. LEARN MORE

Ending deforestation: By decreasing the use of destructive farming practices such as burning, clearing and plowing, Forest Gardens reduce deforestation by eliminating farmers’ dependence on forests for food, timber, and many other non-timber forest products. The positive environmental impacts of a Forest Garden are endless. LEARN MORE
